It is not clear who is speaking in Song of Solomon 6:11–12. This is largely because commentators agree that Song of Solomon 6:12 is probably the hardest verse in the Song to interpret, since the meaning of the Hebrew words is not clear. We will assume that in these verses it is the young woman who is responding to the praises of her husband in Song of Solomon 6:4–10, as this seems to make the most sense of the poem as a whole. However, regardless of who is speaking, the overall meaning of this poem is clear enough.
