Grace is a reference to God’s undeserved love that has been lavished on believers, and peace refers to the reconciliation (peace) that Christians have with God (and fellow believers) on account of Christ.1 The peace enjoyed by believers is a fulfillment of the covenant promise of peace seen in Ezekiel (Ezekiel 37:26; see also Psalm 72:7; Isaiah 54:10) and it comes through the preaching of the gospel (Isaiah 52:7).2
