Three of the five sentences that begin with the Lord
are found in this verse. The Lord opens blind eyes, lifts up those who are bowed down, and loves the righteous. These sentences serve to make clear that the Lord can truly be trusted; and therefore, he is to be praised. As the first two sentences do not deal exclusively with physical suffering, this can also be read against the background of returning from exile.
8 L'Eternel ouvre les yeux des aveugles;L'Eternel redresse ceux qui sont courbés;L'Eternel aime les justes.
