1. 1 Samuel 18:26–27 (NEG79)
  2. Explication du texte

How many men were with David when he killed the Philistines?

1 Samuel 18:26–27 (NEG79)

26 Les serviteurs de Saül rapportèrent ces paroles à David, et David agréa ce qui lui était demandé pour qu'il devienne gendre du roi.

It is not clear how many men joined David. If we assume that it was the same number as the companions who joined him later (see 1 Samuel 23:3, 1 Samuel 23:5; 1 Samuel 24:3), then he could have anything between 200 and 600 men at his command (1 Samuel 25:12–13). Probably they would not all have joined him on his campaign, so he likely left with a smaller group.
