This verse moves on to discuss the normal menstruation period of a female. The term “impurity” (niddā
) is derived from a word that means to put away or exclude. This refers to the exclusion of women from temple worship. The woman is considered to be unclean in the same way that the male was unclean because of his discharges.
19 La femme qui aura un flux, un flux de sang en sa chair, restera sept jours dans son impureté. Quiconque la touchera sera impur jusqu'au soir.
