What does 1 Samuel 14:47–52 reveal about who God the Father is?
The Lord is gracious. He worked for the good of his people despite the shortcomings of their king.1 He blessed Saul with children and military victories even though he was a king who walked by sight and not by faith.
The Lord is truthful. He told Samuel to warn the people of Israel that a king would take from them ahead of time (see 1 Samuel 8:11; 1 Samuel 14:52).
