Samuel was about to leave the city when he came face to face with Saul and his servant.1 Lots of ordinary events have brought Saul to Samuel and they are all under the Lord’s direction (see Proverbs 16:9; Proverbs 20:24).2 The Lord accomplishes his purposes through the ordinary experiences of everyday life.3
