What effect would the judgment have on the people?
Ésaïe 17:7–8 (NEG79)
7En ce jour, l'homme regardera vers son créateur, Et ses yeux se tourneront vers le Saint d'Israël;
The judgment would be severe enough to bring the people to their senses. There is some hope for the remnant to choose the path of repentance and turn back to the God who made them. True repentance meant no longer worshipping any idols.
