Peter’s effort to encourage his readers in the face of unjust suffering continues till 1 Peter 4:11. In the present paragraph Peter focuses on the attitude that needs to dominate in the heart of the Christian in the face of injustice. In the next paragraph (1 Peter 3:18–22) Peter draws out why this attitude is both necessary and possible.
