Was Stephen seized and brought before the council all in one day?

Actes 6:12 (NEG79)

12 Ils émurent le peuple, les anciens et les scribes, et, se jetant sur lui, ils le saisirent, et l'emmenèrent au sanhédrin.

Though it seems as if everything happened in one day, we should appreciate that it would have taken some time to call a council (Sanhedrin) and gather false witnesses.1
