Paul prays in Romans 15:5–6 that we will see again why there is a church in this world. We are there for the glory of him who called us out of the dark. We have been put in the light to magnify his honour and glory (compare 1 Peter 2:9–10). That is more essential for the church than a debate about food and drinks.
