What does Acts 5:17-42 reveal about what God does in and through me (the work of the Holy Spirit)? God the Holy Spirit strengthened the apostles so that they remained obedient to God despite the pressure which they faced from the Sanhedrin. The Spirit does the same for me today. He helps me to obey God’s Word and remain faithful to Christ in difficult situations. He also ensures that the good news of Jesus Christ continues to be preached, not only inspiring men to become ministers of the Word but also opening and closing doors (opportunities) according to God’s purpose and plan.
