Did the crowds bring their sick to Jerusalem itself?

Actes 5:16 (NEG79)

16 La multitude accourait aussi des villes voisines à Jérusalem, amenant des malades et des gens tourmentés par des esprits impurs; et tous étaient guéris.

It is possible that people living outside of Jerusalem would take those who are sick and travel into the city. People travelled from far to come and be healed or to learn from Jesus (see Mark 3:7–11) and clearly the healing ministry of the apostles had a similar result.1 However, travelling with the sick would have been a challenge in a time where there were no cars or public transport. Therefore, it is possible that the apostles had also started to minister to some of the villages in the immediate surrounding of the city.2 If they did go out of the city, they would have done so in groups of two as they had been trained by Jesus (see Luke 10:1–24).
