Actes 4:32–37 (NEG79)

32 La multitude de ceux qui avaient cru n'était qu'un cœur et qu'une âme. Nul ne disait que ses biens lui appartenaient en propre, mais tout était commun entre eux.

Acts 4:32–37 provides us with another summary of the life of believers in Jerusalem, with a special focus on the sharing of material resources. Unlike the earlier summary (Acts 2:42–47), no mention is made of common meals or worship gatherings. The description of the pattern in the early church (Acts 4:32–35) is followed by two examples of what things looked like in practice, one negative and one positive (Acts 4:36 – 5:11).1
