If he is about to fulfill God’s righteousness, why is it necessary for Jesus to be tempted by the devil?

Matthieu 4:1 (NEG79)

1 Alors Jésus fut emmené par l'Esprit dans le désert, pour être tenté par le diable.

He has to make up for the fall into sin (Genesis 3:1–24). Adam did not stand up in the temptation. Christ has to show that he does. This will show that man, created by God, is able to stand firm against temptation. God made a good and capable creature: man. That supreme creature can indeed withstand Satan’s temptations.
