The apostles are witnesses to the fact of Jesus’ resurrection. It was not something which they anticipated or immediately believed (Luke 24:9–12; John 20:24–29). However, because they saw Jesus alive, ate with him, and touched him, they are witnesses of the reality of his resurrection and they can now testify to the same.
