What is the prescribed punishment for the one who eats the blood?
Lévitique 7:27 (NEG79)
27Celui qui mangera du sang d'une espèce quelconque, celui-là sera retranché de son peuple.
The punishment is once again severe. The person who commits this deed is excommunicated from the people of God. The phrase, “that person” expresses a sense of disassociation between the guilty party and the community of the Lord.
