Previously, Leviticus 1:1–17 made no mention of the skin or hide of the animal used in the burnt offering. The passage now mentions that it belongs to the officiating priest. By making this provision, the reader becomes aware that the sacrificial system was designed for the spiritual restoration of the worshipper as well as the practical needs of the priest in service. The Lord cares for those who minister through the giving of worshippers (see 1 Corinthians 9:7–14).
8 Le sacrificateur qui offrira l'holocauste de quelqu'un aura pour lui la peau de l'holocauste qu'il a offert.
