Commentary on Song of Solomon 5:3 (Summary)

She is already in bed with her nightclothes. She has bathed herself before she went to bed. Her first reaction in her dream is that she does not feel much like getting out of bed again, to dress again in the cold night and get her feet dirty. That is what may happen in a dream. Dreams are very different from reality. You can be frightened of yourself. Or like in this verse, the woman worries. But feelings can also change in dreams. We are seeing this change in the woman’s dream.
