Jesus looks around at everything. Not as a pilgrim or tourist who visits a special place and admires it. He knows the temple very well, from the first time he visited the temple when he was twelve years old. He was aware it was my Father’s house
(Luke 2:49). And several times he had visited the temple thereafter. Now he comes to inspect it as the King who is coming to his temple (Malachi 3:1).
