Leviticus 3:6 introduces the second kind of peace offering, an animal from the flock. It is interesting to observe that the age of the sheep is not given. For other religious festivals, such as the Passover, the lamb to be sacrifice is a year old (Exodus 12:5; Exodus 29:38; Leviticus 9:3; Leviticus 23:12).
