The gospel of the kingdom crosses the border into neighbouring Samaria, as was announced in the last instructions of Jesus to be witnesses: you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth
(Acts 1:8). This command is like directions for the work of mission, as Luke follows it in the structure of his book, which ends in Rome. A couple of months after the Feast of Pentecost (Acts 2:1–47), evangelist Philip goes to Samaria. In Acts 8:1–40 we follow Philip on his missionary journey to Samaria (Acts 8:1–25), and to a eunuch from Ethiopia (Acts 8:26–40) - the ends of the earth.
1 Saul avait approuvé le meurtre d'Etienne. Il y eut, ce jour-là, une grande persécution contre l'Eglise de Jérusalem; et tous, excepté les apôtres, se dispersèrent dans les contrées de la Judée et de la Samarie.
