It is to be noted that this morally upright believer still comes to Jesus. It shows that he has advanced much further than many Pharisees. His reverential attitude toward the law does not prevent him from acknowledging Jesus as the Teacher sent by God for eternal life.1
20 And he said to him, “Teacher, all these I have kept from my youth.”
