Judges 10:7 (ESV)

7 So the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of the Philistines and into the hand of the Ammonites,

Israel’s apostasy aroused God’s anger. And we will not be able to understand the appropriateness of God’s anger until we understand what apostasy really is. Apostasy is not an error of judgment; it is a deliberate breach of trust.1
