  2. Exposition

Why is the mention of God's voice significant?

Matthew 3:17 (ESV)

17 and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

God cannot be seen; only his voice is heard. He is the invisible one (1 Timothy 1:17; 1 Timothy 6:16).
