As mentioned before, this verse must be read in conjunction with Luke 6:22: if you are after fame and your relationship with Jesus is not placed above all else, it will end badly for you. Prosperity gospel prophets, for example, are loved and sometimes attract thousands of people because people prefer to hear words that are easy on the ear rather than those that are harsh (see for example 1 Kings 22:1–18). But the Word of the Lord cannot be manipulated and so neither is the true prophet. This is what the highest Prophet teaches you here.
