Keep yourselves in the love of God by consciously living in the light of eternity...I think this is something that is very much lacking in our culture and society today. We really do live in a secular society. That means that we live for the now. We live for the present, not for the future. And it is very interesting that the baby boom generation generally is a generation which is consuming on itself, and desirous of consuming everything and leaving little behind. That is where we are in our culture. We are living for the present. And what does the Bible call us to do? Our text again:
