24 “Then from his presence the hand was sent, and this writing was inscribed.

In the following section, Daniel 5:24–28, Daniel gets to what is written on the wall. He recalls what had just happened: the hand and fingers that so startled Belshazzar and the partygoers, those strange marks that were written by those fingers on the wall, the writing that no one could decipher.
