Where was Thebez?

Judges 9:50 (ESV)

50 Then Abimelech went to Thebez and encamped against Thebez and captured it.

It was a town located about six miles north of Shechem on the road to Beth Shan. Similar to Shechem, Thebez had a strong tower within the city.
