What was the wisdom that Solomon asked from the Lord?
1 Kings 3:28 (ESV)
28And all Israel heard of the judgment that the king had rendered, and they stood in awe of the king, because they perceived that the wisdom of God was in him to do justice.
It literally says in 1 Kings 3:9 that Solomon asked for “an understanding mind” to do justice. Jurisdiction was an important task of the king to uphold justice among God’s people. He needed wisdom to judge in complicated situations.
