What do the disciples think about Jesus?

Mark 8:29 (ESV)

29 And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, “You are the Christ.”

Peter speaks on behalf of all the disciples when he says that Jesus is the Christ. The word Christ (Messiah) means “anointed one” and refers to God’s appointed deliverer and King (Psalm 2:6).
