This list of sins corresponds to a remarkable degree with the problems that exist in the Corinthian church itself: sexual immorality, adultery, participating in idolatrous meals (1 Corinthians 10:14–22), and drunkenness in the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:20–21). The list is clearly intended to show to the Corinthians that they cannot possibly continue with their sins. To do so will be to become one with the world.
10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
