9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Through their knowledge of the gospel, the Corinthians have fellowship with Jesus Christ. Consequently, they are as rich (1 Corinthians 1:5) as they can be!
