Majesty is used with glory to emphasize God’s overwhelming grandeur. These two attributes of God place in high relief the importance of not turning away from the One who holds the most honourable position. Pointing to God’s ruling power not only highlights the folly of perverting his grace but also forms the basis for his authority as the coming judge, a principal theme throughout this letter.1
25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
