1. 1 Thessalonians 2:6 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

To whom does the you and the others refer?

1 Thessalonians 2:6 (ESV)

6 Nor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, though we could have made demands as apostles of Christ.

The you obviously refers to the Thessalonian believers to whom he was writing; the others probably refers to the people in Thessalonica who heard Paul’s preaching but who did not become disciples of Jesus.
