How did Jesus come to make God known?

John 1:18 (ESV)

18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.

The Son has broken the barrier that made it impossible for human beings to see God, and has made God known.1 Being a man, Jesus enables God who is spirit (John 4:24) to be seen. Jesus’ work of atonement will also enable man to be in God’s presence without being destroyed.2
