1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Gospel of John can be broadly divided up as follows:

  • Prologue (John 1:1–18)

  • Central section #1: The Book of Signs (John 1:19 – 12:50)

  • Central section #2: The Book of Glory/Passion (John 13:1 – 20:31)

  • Epilogue/Appendix (John 21:1–25)1
