Does God promise to restore Israel to the land of Canaan?

Amos 9:15 (ESV)

15 I will plant them on their land, and they shall never again be uprooted out of the land that I have given them,”says the LORD your God.

It goes far beyond that. With these words the Lord promises to bring about a new creation.1 In this new creation there will be no possibility of exile for God’s people.
