What does the reference "the remnant of Joseph" indicate?
Amos 5:15 (ESV)
15Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate; it may be that the LORD, the God of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.
The remnant is not necessarily referring to a group of Israelites who will be spared from judgment. Instead it is an indication that only a small number of Israelites will respond positively to Amos’ call for repentance.
