What is the meaning of "fallen"?

Amos 5:2 (ESV)

2 “Fallen, no more to rise, is the virgin Israel; forsaken on her land, with none to raise her up.”

In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word translated as fallen usually refers to a person who died tragically or unnecessarily and not to someone who died from disease or old age (see 2 Samuel 1:12, 2 Samuel 1:19, 2 Samuel 1:25, 2 Samuel 1:27; Lamentations 2:21).1
