He lived a perfect life on our behalf. He is the promised Messiah of God who came to crush the head of the serpent (Genesis 3:15). Through his death on the cross he paid for the sins of all God’s people, just as God had promised he would (Isaiah 53:1–12).All the promises of God are Yes and Amen in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). Jesus Christ is proof that God is at work in history to keep his promises.
