Esther 4:17 (ESV)

17 Mordecai then went away and did everything as Esther had ordered him.

Esther had always been under Mordecai’s authority and guidance (Esther 2:10; Esther 4:13). This time, however, the roles were somewhat reversed, as Mordecai willingly carried out all of Esther’s instructions.
