We are aware of the loving obligations we have to others. First of all, we know God. We want him to be glorified. We want him to be pleased. We want to grow in the knowledge of God, which leads to holiness. But secondly, we are in relationship with one another. Look at 1 Thessalonians 4:6:
that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter.Now, whereas our licentious society defines sex as an exclusively private matter, the truth is that many people are always involved in sexual sin. A woman who steals a husband breaks up his family and grievously injures his children. A man who seduces a single woman robs her future husband of the purity she ought to offer him. Sexual sin inevitably involves spouses, parents, children, siblings, friends, fellow Christians.Sexuality is, in fact, a covenantal and societal matter, and that is how the Bible teaches it.
