Commentary on Esther 1:7 (Summary)

Esther 1:7 (ESV)

7 Drinks were served in golden vessels, vessels of different kinds, and the royal wine was lavished according to the bounty of the king.

The guests could indulge in an abundance of royal wine. This was drunk from golden cups, each with its own unique pattern and design. Today, some of the magnificent golden cups from this era can still be seen in museums.
