Is Paul excluding the sisters in his address?

Philippians 1:12 (ESV)

12 I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel,

He addresses his readers as brothers, which also include the sisters.1 This is clear from Philippians 4:1–2, where the readers are likewise addressed as brothers, even as the apostle is specifically addressing the sisters.2
