When Jesus touches the blind men’s eyes, light from his hand floods their eyes, like when his Father simply says, Let there be light
(Genesis 1:1–31). This is another example of Jesus healing through physical touch (see Matthew 8:3), transferring his power unto healing when he meets faith.
Jesus touches their lightless eyes (Matthew 9:29) and upon looking, it becomes apparent that light from his hand has flooded into these eyes. This was a powerful miracle that Jesus only performed on account of their faith.1 This is yet another example of Jesus healing by means of physically touching someone (see also Matthew 8:3). This action must be understood as transferring his power unto healing. Upon doing so the Savior then declares that they receive what they believe—that their faith is not in vain.2
