Joshua 11:1–15 can be easily divided into three parts:

  • Canaanite preparation at the waters of Merom (Joshua 11:1–5)

  • The battle of the waters of Merom (Joshua 11:6–9)

  • The destruction of Canaanite cities (Joshua 11:10–15)
