Why does Jesus describe himself as having feet like burnished bronze?

Revelation 2:18 (ESV)

18 “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write: ‘The words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bronze.

Bronze is an alloy consisting primarily of copper, with 12–15 percent tin and perhaps some other metals. When bronze is well polished, it shines brightly. In this case, it’s the feet that shine brightly. The term feet can stand for boots. So the picture is of a person with authority. The point of the phrase can also be that if his feet shine so brightly, how much more the rest of him! Either way, we’re meant to think of a person of great authority and prestige.
