Jeremiah 28:11 (ESV)

Jeremiah’s response at this point of the confrontation is to walk away. Jeremiah has made his case concerning Hananiah’s message and he sees no sense is speaking any more. He is content to allow events to unfold, and for it to become clear who the true prophet of the Lord is. (Mackay, p 155).
