1. Romans 15:8 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

Why did Christ become a servant to the circumcised?

Romans 15:8 (ESV)

8 For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God’s truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs,

Christ did indeed have a clear goal in mind with his service to the Jews, which Paul articulates here in Romans 15:8 as showing God’s truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs.'1
